Srinagarindra Train Night Market

Not to be confused with the other Night Train Market, this one is a bit far, but worth it!

It’s at night which makes the heat far less oppressive. There is a shitload of food here, as well as a market and bars, there are also vintage shops set up inside old railroad buildings and it’s own Rockabilly type area inside the market, it’s huge, and very very worth the trip.

House Of Heals

Drag bar owned by Pangina Heals, the number one Thai Drag Queen who was on Rupaul’s Drag Race. The best drag bar, sit above a hotel. Enter via lobby, sometimes there is a drink minimum for a table or a cover charge but absolutely worth it.

The Stranger Bar (Silom)

Drag Queens from House Of Heals also work here, much smaller and always crammed full of people, performances happen on the mezzanine.

Sing Sing Theatre (Thong Lor)

Really Lavish Interior that looks like an old chinese opium den, I heard an old set designer created the bar.

Expensive drinks but worth it for the interior, has a much more chill but also beautiful gin bar connected to it.

Beam Nightclub (Thong Lor)

A lot of electronic acts come through here, gets good around 10pm.

De Commune (Khao San)

Venue for a lot of different kinds of acts/events, it used to be purely techno but now has emo nights, bands etc. 

Route 66 (RCA)

Absolutely massive nightclub with screens on the floor and walls. Three sections, techno, k-pop, and hip hop, complete with occasional backing dancers and smoke machines. 

Huge outdoor couch area for when the inside gets overwhelming. A must see.

Soi Cowboy

One of the more touristy red light districts, the real one being Nana Plaza. Worth taking a stroll down just to see the lights and the vibe, get a drink and people watch at one of the bars at the end of the street.

Chatuchak Market

World’s largest outdoor market, definitely check it out, it's amazing. Sections from vintgage, homewares, art, etc. expansive but a bit claustrophobic. 

Be prepared, a day spent out here is HOT and there is a lot of walking, but worth it.

Bangsue Plaza/Wintage

Several floors of vintage, much more chill to navigate than Chatuchak across the road because it is indoor, comes alive at night with younger crowd weirdly but also open during the day.

Bangkok City City Gallery

Contemporary art gallery gear toward the best of the best young Thai artists, every show is phenomenal. Artists go on to be in Biennales etc. across the world.
